EXCITING NEWS – HOW SPLENDID!

A warm welcome to one and all!

A BIG Hello to all our past, present and hopefully future guests and, of course a special Woof! Woof! to all our new canine friends that have been to stay with us so far this year.

Never a dull moment at 'White Horse Farm'

kitchen garden

Well, as usual, there is never a dull moment at ‘White Horse Farm’ – we had thoughts earlier in the year of selling our beloved haven due to health worries, but, touch wood, I am feeling a lot better now and people keep a close eye on me and make me rest sometime during the day (difficult!).

We had several people who were interested in buying the property and we even received a few offers via our Agents, but we couldn’t bring ourselves to part with ‘White Horse Farm’ which is a huge part of our lives and we are so lucky to have such an idyllic place to call home.

So, everyday events continue including the very exciting launch of ‘Sweet Pea’ our new little B & B.

Enchanting 'Sweet Pea' Bed and Breakfast

‘Sweet Pea’ is our newly converted little B & B which has a delightful beamed bedroom and a new en-suite shower room which overlooks my very pretty kitchen garden. There are a table and chairs where you can eat your lovely continental breakfast as well as a sunny spot outside where you can relax and enjoy the stunning grounds here. As usual, the bed, bedding & towels are top notch and you can snuggle down on our renowned feather bed toppers. There is a little TV in the room and a small fridge. Designer ‘Hermes’ toiletries are there to spoil you and a vase of fresh flowers adds the finishing touch.  The room is light and bright and the curtain fabric is so pretty that one of the guests bought the fabric locally to take home with her! Our guests have already fallen in love with this enchanting little hideaway……….”It was comfort & delight”, “Finding peace & serenity in this fabulous haven was pure serendipity!”, “The peace and quiet was a real tonic as were Susie’s usual decorative details”, “Bliss, calm, peace, comfort – we loved every minute” – why not book a couple of days for a mini-escape to recharge your batteries…tariff just £95 per night.

The North Norfolk Bunny Company

Inline

Many people have asked me about the gorgeous Danish bunnies that we have in the barns…well, the great news is that I have been in touch with the Head of the bunny empire in Denmark and he has agreed to supply them to me again even though I no longer have my shop in Blakeney (where we used to sell lots!). ‘White Horse Farm’ has been inspected by the bunny patrollers and we have been given clearance and the first delivery of bunnies looking for special homes arrived yesterday so do call me (01263 860693) if you would like one sent to you (loving homes only please with good supplies of carrots & a hug every day! – slightly mad, yes I know!)

We can give your bunny a map and a first class ticket and he or she can be with you in no time at all.  We will have a dedicated website www.north-norfolk-bunny-company.co.uk  and there will be a monthly bunny blog.

People are more than welcome to photograph their bunny, telling us what he or she is up to and send the photo in to add to our bunny portrait gallery.

Our bunnies make perfect gifts for young & old – for birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and Thank you’s. We have the perfect little bunny waiting here just for you!

The place to come to in North Norfolk

primrose

The Summer season has been very busy and it was great to see many return visitors as well as welcoming new guests.  The word is spreading that this is definitely the place to come to in North Norfolk for comfort, tranquillity and relaxation.

Thank you everyone for your personal recommendations to friends and family, it is always a delight when someone visits through recommendation – it means we are doing something right!  Hurrah!! – From mid September, all barns will have individual wi-fi units (old receiver found our big, flint walls hard work).

Susie's Den

susies den

It had to happen….the frustrated shopkeeper urge (from my not too distant past) has made me dedicate our reception hall at ‘White Horse Farm’ as a retail area, now known as ‘Susie’s Den’ (much to the bemusement of my husband!) Boxes in storage have been and are being rummaged through and little treasures keep appearing which are then whisked away to the den.  Our guests are enjoying an excuse to browse here before they leave (mainly the ladies!).  Somehow, there is always a reason to shop!  My husband has agreed to a larger sales area if all goes well, although he is still somewhat perplexed at “Women’s ability to mooch!”.

Autumn, Christmas and New Year Breaks

Cream Teas will soon be over and Autumn is creeping up so please think ahead to booking a mini Autumn break with us (the Sloe Gin is legendary) and we offer a 5% discount for returning guests and don’t forget to plan Christmas and New Year breaks because as ever, the barns are in great demand during the festive season (Ho! Ho! Ho!)

The website of the year

We have an entry into ‘The website of the year’ competition and if anyone would like to nominate our entry, that would be marvellous! Go to the contact page at the end of our website, scroll down and click on the entry logo at the bottom.  They will ask you three questions – our website, your comments and your email address.

Thank you so much.

Thanks...

Thanks everyone
Warmest wishes
Susie, Jo, Duffy & Bertie Wooster (yes, and all the bunnies!)
